HOSPITALIZATIONS DUE TO RSV INFECTION ON THE RISE

LINCOLN COUNTY – Lincoln County has seen an increase in hospitalizations over the past month from a major cause of respiratory illness, Respiratory Syncytial Virus. Those hospitalized are infants or adults over the age of 60. Those infected with RSV usually exhibit signs within four to six days after infection, showing typical cold systems along with wheezing and a decreased appetite.
