MERRILL – The Merrill Fire Department responded to 47 calls last week, bringing the total for 2024 to 1471 calls. There were 46 calls requesting EMS services. MERRILL – The Merrill Fire Department responded to 40 calls last week, bringing the total for 2024 to 1193 calls. There were 2 motor vehicle accidents that resulted in injuries. There were 29 calls requesting EMS services, excluding the 2 accidents that resulted in injuries. The department responded to 3 fire calls, 2 were grass fires and the third was a recreational vehicle fire. EMS responders were also dispatched to rescue an individual at a local swimming area.
