“DRIVE SOBER OR GET PULLED OVER” CAMPAIGN ACTIVE FOR 2024 HOLIDAY SEASON

A plan is in place for local law enforcement agencies to reduce the incidence of impaired drivers on roadways throughout the holiday season.

Once again, this December, the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign is underway and will continue through January 1. The campaign features public education and outreach efforts, as well as an increase in patrols. The DoT reports that during the 2023-24 holiday season, nearly 400 crashes throughout the state were attributed to impaired driving.

The DoT is also encouraging drivers to slow down, eliminate distractions, and buckle up.
