Lincoln County Preparing For Sesquicentennial Celebration, Asking County Residents For Input

LINCOLN COUNTY – Lincoln County celebrates a major milestone this year, turning 150 years old, and County leaders are asking for your input in planning a sesquicentennial celebration. They plan to interview long-time residents who have called Lincoln County home for 75 years or more.

The County was founded in 1874 as the second largest county in the state at the time. An online questionnaire is available through a link on the county website to aid in the effort of collecting historical facts and important locations from around Lincoln County. There have been hints that a fall celebration is in the planning, with a date of October 19th being mentioned.
