MAPS Announces Hiring Of New Kate Goodrich Elementary School Principal
MERRILL – Merrill Area Public Schools has announced the hiring of Heather Kahr as the new Elementary Principal for Kate Goodrich Elementary School. Heather brings 16 years of Elementary Education experience to the school, most recently as a principal in the Wausau School District. Kahr worked previously with Kate Goodrich Elementary as their Associate Principal, affording her the unique opportunity to reconnect with students, staff and parents as well as building new relationships with incoming families. Heather’s credentials include a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership.
Heather enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children during her free time. She also enjoys hunting and camping, watching her son play baseball and her daughter’s gymnastics.
“We are fortunate to welcome Heather back to the District in this new role,” said Superintendent Shannon Murray. “She is greatly committed to the success of all students.”
