Merrill Police Department Report For Week Ending July 7
MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to 16 incidents last week. Six calls were received for disturbances and disorderly conduct, one of those involving public intoxication where the subject was arrested immediately for bail conditions prohibiting him from drinking.
There were three crashes reported. One was a hit and run, and then another single vehicle accident where the driver struck a telephone pole resulting in an arrest for 1st offense OWI.
One call was received for theft at a local business. There was one call for a probation violation and one for an open warrant. Both were taken into custody. Officers also conducted 2 traffic stops.
