MERRILL POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT WEEK ENDING MARCH 30
MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to 6 incidents last week. There were two reports of unsafe or inattentive driving, one where a juvenile motorist was attempting to take a selfie while operating her vehicle. There was one instance of possession of illegal substances in a parked car that led to the arrest of both individuals in the vehicle, including a probation hold, and one instance of OWI during a traffic stop involving an ATV operator who attempted to elude the officer. The suspect also received a probation violation. There was one burglary at a local residence, once identified the burglar was also charged with obstructing an officer and bail jumping.
