TOWN OF MERRILL – On Tuesday January 14th  at 7:27 AM, the Lincoln County 911 center received a report of a crash with injuries on STH 17 near CTH G in the Town of Merrill involving a school bus and an SUV. The bus was headed N/B on STH 17 carrying children to school when the driver attempted to make a left turn onto CTH G. Lincoln County Sheriffs Office Report Week Ending January 12

LINCOLN COUNTY – Last Week, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 35 traffic stops, 59 security checks, and 8 calls involving cars hitting deer. There were 2 reports regarding unsafe driving. On Saturday January 11, deputies were dispatched to the scene of a two-car crash with injuries at the intersection of CTH JJ and Hillside Drive in the Town of Merrill. Investigation showed that the 84-year-old male driver of the eastbound vehicle from Merrill showed signs of impairment. He was arrested for OWI causing injury first offense.
