LINCOLN COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT PROMOTES RADON TESTING

LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Health Department is encouraging residents to include testing their homes for radon on their New Year’s resolution list. Testing your home is a crucial first step in understanding your radon levels and ensuring that you and your family are not at risk. Radon test kits are available for around $20 from your local hardware store or from a Radon Information center, or you can have a Certified Radon Measurement Professional come out and complete the testing for you.

MERRILL POLICE DEPARTMENT REPORT WEEK ENDING DECEMBER 29

MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to seven incidents last week, including four domestic disturbances and disorderly conduct, three of those involving alcohol. There were also three traffic incidents. In one case, a driver ran over a curb while being pulled over, parked on a nearby road, and attempted to enter a home. The officer relocated the vehicle and completed the stop, leading to the driver’s arrest for OWI and a citation for possession of drug paraphernalia.
