Merrill Police Department Report Week Ending November 10

MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to 14 incidents last week. There were five reports of domestic disturbance and disorderly conduct.  There was one report of theft, and one report of attempted blackmail via email.  There was one call leading to an arrest for a probation violation. There were two traffic incidents, one for a registration violation that resulted in the driver fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed and one where the driver had an open warrant for arrest. UTV Crash in Town of Scott Results in Fatality

TOWN OF SCOTT – Wednesday morning, November 13 at approximately 2:00 AM, the Lincoln County 911 Dispatch Center received a call reporting a single UTV crash with two occupants on Scott Rd south of Heldt St, in the Township of Scott. It was reported that the driver of the vehicle was unresponsive. The 32 year old male driver was later pronounced deceased. The 40 year old male passenger was ejected resulting in serious injuries.
