Merrill Man Sentenced to 15 Years for 2022 Fatal Shooting
LINCOLN COUNTY – A Merrill man was sentenced to 15 years in prison in Lincoln County Court on Monday, November 11th for a fatal shooting that took place nearly three years ago.
Tanner Graap was arrested for the shooting death of a 28-year-old woman at a Merrill residence in January of 2022. He initially stated that he had unintentionally fired the handgun. Graap pleaded guilty to an amended charge of 2nd degree reckless homicide by use of a dangerous weapon in back in September.
Several other charges were dismissed in exchange for the plea, however they were considered during Monday’s sentencing.
