Altercation Involving Two Inmates in Lincoln County Jail Leads to Charges Filed

LINCOLN COUNTY – On Thursday Oct 31, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Lincoln County Jail regarding the report of a physical altercation between two inmates. A 20-year-old and a 40-year-old  inmate from Wausau were involved in a discussion that escalated into a physical fight. Several punches were thrown before corrections officers were able to separate the men. Merrill Police Department Report Week Ending November 11

MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to 20 incidents last week. There was one report of a domestic disturbance. One call was received for lost and found. There were nine reports of theft or fraud, including two instances of illegal entry into a vehicle. During one of those instances it was reported that a firearm was stolen.
