Council Grounds 2024 Candlelight Walk Set for Saturday Evening October 12th
MERRILL – Friends of Council Grounds State Park has posted that this Saturday, October 12, is the date for the 2024 Fall Candlelight Walk. Those wishing to bring a pet are required to keep them on a leash and assure they are able to get along with other pets and people walking in the dark. Walkers should bring a light source to aid in navigating the trail. A shorter trail more suitable for wagons, strollers or those who have difficulty walking will also be available.
The Friends of Council Grounds team will be working alongside park staff to set out candles and guide visitors to the trails. Two cozy warming fires will be crackling by the beach shelter, so don’t forget to bring your s’mores fixings
The Candlelight Walk begins at 6 PM, with trails starting at the beach picnic area.
