Homecoming Week for Merrill High in Full Swing

MERRILL – Merrill High School’s homecoming week is in full swing! On Wednesday evening, students, parents and local supporters took in the school’s annual Powderpuff game. Bluejay Coaches Jason Wadzinski and Kasie Holt were in the booth to call all the action. Homecoming week concludes this Saturday the 28th, as the Varsity Football team takes on the Lakeland Thunderbirds at Jay Stadium at 1:30PM, followed by the Homecoming Dance starting at 7PM

Wausau City Clerk Releases Details Surrounding Mayor’s Ballot Dropbox Removal

WAUSAU – Wausau’s City Clerk has released details to the Marathon County District Attorney and Wisconsin Elections Commission of the ballot dropbox removal by Mayor Doug Diny on Sunday. CityClerk Kaitlyn Bernarde cited the state statute that calls for her to “report suspected election frauds, irregularities, or violations of which the clerk has knowledge to the district attorney and WEC”.She explained the box was locked but not yet secured for use, with plans to secure and open it later this week.
