New Boat Landing Opens at Ott’s Park in Merrill

MERRILL – Merrill Parks and Recreation has announced that the new boat landing at Ott’s Park has been completed and is ready for local water recreation enthusiasts to enjoy! The dock is equipped with an ADA Kayak launch. The parks and rec team put out a big thank you on their Facebook page to the Merrill Streets Department for all of their hard work in helping to make the newly updated local water fun spot a reality.

Northwoods Ice Age Trail Hike Scheduled For Saturday September 28

MERRILL – The Northwoods Ice Age Trail Fall Color Hike will take place on Saturday, September 28, right at the peak of fall colors. The nearly three-mile hike along the Wisconsin River will be focused on the Grandfather Falls segment of the trail. Filled with unique boulders and sculptured rock formations resulting from thousands of years of cascading water, the 100ft drop at the falls provides a uniquely pleasant backdrop for hikers. Merrill Soccer Association To Host Fall Skills Youth Soccer Camp

MERRILL – The Merrill Soccer Association is teaming up with Merrill Bluejays Soccer to host a free Fall Skills youth soccer camp for local students 4K through 5th grade. The camp will be held at Jay Stadium on Saturday, October 19th from 10 ‘till 11:30 AM. Campers will work with current high school and middle school coaches and athletes to help hone their soccer skills.
