Wausau City Clerk Releases Details Surrounding Mayor’s Ballot Dropbox Removal

WAUSAU – Wausau’s City Clerk has released details to the Marathon County District Attorney and Wisconsin Elections Commission of the ballot dropbox removal by Mayor Doug Diny on Sunday. Merrill Fire Department Report Week Ending September 22

MERRILL – The Merrill Fire Department responded to 37 calls last week, bringing the total for 2024 to 1,651 calls. There were 32 calls requesting EMS services. A call came in on Tuesday September 17 reporting a downed power line on River St that resulted in nearly 3,500 Merrill residents losing power. One call was received on Thursday September 19 with a report of a gas leak.

LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Board met Tuesday evening, September 17, and almost half of the 3-hour meeting was spent discussing the situation surrounding county owned nursing facility Pine Crest. Lincoln County Board Approves Use of Opioid Settlement Funds for ICPG Contract

LINCOLN COUNTY – As a part of the Lincoln County Opioid Task Force meeting on Wednesday, September 11, Environmental Health Technician Erin Ray shared that the Board of Health has approved the use of $10,000 ARPA Public Health funds for the ICPG assessment. The proposal was then placed before the Lincoln County Board at their Tuesday September 17 meeting, and the resolution to use $30,000 Opioid Settlement Funds for the assessment was approved.
