Merrill Fire Department Report: Week Ending August 25

MERRILL – The Merrill Fire Department responded to 47 calls last week, bringing the total for 2024 to 1471 calls.

There were 46 calls requesting EMS services. There was a request to assist for standby for Tomahawk EMS on Highway J in the Town of Birch on Weds Aug 21.

The Department also took part in two community activities last week. The team participated in last week’s 12th Annual Merrill Community Night Out on Tuesday August 20, providing demonstrations and rides in the ladder truck Boom. Then on Friday the 23rd, they welcomed the Merrill middle school’s Girls volleyball team to the station as they hosted a team building event, including an attempt at a truck pull.
