Lincoln County Jurors Now Have Option for Electronic Payment for Duties

LINCOLN COUNTY – At their meeting this past Tuesday August 20, the Lincoln County Board of Supervisors approved a new contract with Court Funds. It’s a program that allows debit card payments to jurors in an effort to make the process more efficient, giving them access to the funds as soon as the transaction is completed.

Supervisor Alan Bishop introduced the resolution, sharing that the new payment method should also save the county money since costs for paper checks, stamps and envelopes will be eliminated. This will also free up the time and labor costs involved with monitoring, reissuing and resolving uncashed checks. The resolution was approved by supervisors by voice vote.

The timeline for transitioning to the new payment program is yet TBD.
