Lincoln County Partisan Primary Election On Tuesday August 13 Features Two Republican Candidates for Lincoln County Clerk

LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Partisan Primary Election will take place tomorrow, Tuesday August 13, 2024.

Two Republican candidates are running for the position of Lincoln County Clerk, with Steve Osness challenging the incumbent, Chris Marlowe. A Father of three, Marlowe has served as Lincoln County Clerk since January of 2013. Marlowe won the 2012 County Clerk race and has been uncontested until 2024. During his time as Clerk, he became the District 7 Chair of the Wisconsin County Clerks Association and is currently the treasurer for the Wisconsin County Constitutional Officers and is president of their Legal Defense Fund.

Steve Osness, a father of two and married to his wife Kendra, currently works with Merrill Area Public Schools in Maintenance. Osness shares that he has chosen to run for the County Clerk role because he values transparent and efficient government. He also stated that if he is elected, he looks forward to bringing a fresh perspective to the office. 

Residents are encouraged to come out tomorrow and cast their vote at the Lincoln County Service Center.
