Lincoln County Farm Reports Wolf Attacks

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources reports that a beef calf was killed and an adult cow injured by wolves recently on a local farm in the Town of Pine River. The depredation and injury were verified by the US Department pf Agriculture on June 8, 2024. The DNR said that discussions are taking place with the livestock producer regarding non-lethal abatement options. The DNR partners with USDA Wildlife Services to investigate reported conflicts with wolves.
