Merrill City Band Joins Wisconsin Army National Guard Band To Perform Concert Honoring The Fourth

MERRILL – Tomorrow, Tuesday, 2nd members of the Merrill community will begin celebrating our Nation’s birth by being treated to a special joint concert put on by the 132nd Wisconsin Army National Guard Band and our own Merrill City Band.

The Army Band will play some patriotic pieces and marches and will also feature a vocal soloist. The Merrill City Band will perform some popular American music and medleys. Another highlight of the evening will be a trumpet sextet including 3 buglers from each band, performing “Bugler’s Holiday”.

The performance begins at 7 PM, in the Merrill High School auditorium. There’s no charge for admission.

This special edition of the Merrill City Band Concert Series replaces the regularly scheduled Wednesday, July 3 performance. The Summer Wednesday Concert Series is scheduled to resume next Wednesday, July 10 in the Normal Park Gazebo.
