Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Report For Week Ending June 9th
Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 35 traffic stops in the last week. A transport driver was injured after a single vehicle accident in Lincoln County Thursday (June 6th) on County MM in the Town of Corning. The truck, carrying Amazon packages, left the roadway and struck a row of trees. It wasn’t clear why the truck left the roadway. The driver, a 30 year old North Dakota man, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital.
Deputies safely located 2 runaway juveniles in the Tomahawk area. The kids left while their parents were sleeping.
A driver was injured after a single vehicle crash on Big Eddy Road in the Town of Pine River, failing to negotiate a curve, leaving the road and striking several trees. The man was transported to an area hospital and cited for failure to maintain vehicle control.
A pair of drivers were taken in for OWI offenses; a 71 year old Merrill man for 1st offense and a 60 year old Merrill man for 3rd offense. There were 2 calls for domestic disturbances, 1 reporting that a man was walking along County Highway C in Merrill carrying an AR15. The gun was found to be a prop used for military reenactments.
