MERRILL – The Merrill Police Department responded to 17 incidents this past week. Three calls were for hit and runs involving property damage. Six calls were received reporting public nuisances, one of those involving an individual being placed under arrest for felony bail jumping. Three calls were received for theft, all from local businesses. There was one traffic accident resulting in four people being transported to the hospital with injuries, and one traffic stop for a speeding violation where the driver was then placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.…

No Injuries In Multi-Vehicle Crash Near Merrill

A multi-vehicle crash took place on Saturday (June 8th) at the intersection of State Highways 17 and 64 near Merrill. All three vehicles involved had to be towed from the scene. A citation for failure to yield will be issued to the driver of the vehicle who initiated the accident. No one was injured, so no medical response was required.

Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 35 traffic stops in the last week. A transport driver was injured after a single vehicle accident in Lincoln County Thursday (June 6th) on County MM in the Town of Corning. The truck, carrying Amazon packages, left the roadway and struck a row of trees. It wasn’t clear why the truck left the roadway. The driver, a 30 year old North Dakota man, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital. Deputies safely located 2 runaway juveniles in the Tomahawk area. The kids…
