Merrill Police Department Report, Week Ending June 2nd

The Merrill Police Department responded to 14 incidents this past week. One call was for a vehicle crash involving a local residence. Four calls came in for theft, 1 from a vehicle and 3 from local businesses. There was 1 traffic stop that involved alcohol, ending with a refusal to test and an arrest for OWI. Tuesday evening, May 21, 2024 at approximately 8PM a powerful weather front bringing severe thunderstorms including heavy rain and high winds moved across the Northlands, prompting the National Weather Service to issue a tornado warning for Marathon County, soon followed by a tornado warning including Lincoln County.
