Second Name Released In Connection With June 24 Lincoln Hills Incident

LINCOLN COUNTY – On Thursday, June 27th, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested 17-year-old Rian Nyblom in connection with the assault that took place on Monday June 24th at Lincoln Hills School resulting in the death of a staff member. Nyblom was incarcerated in the same unit as Javarius Hurd when the assault took place. He has been charged with Felony Murder and two counts of Battery by Prisoners as party to a crime. LINCOLN COUNTY – The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office recently recognized Deputy Mike Sundquist for 20 years of service. Sundquist began his career as a Patrol Deputy when he was hired by Sheriff Tom Koth on June 14, 2004. Merrill Fire Department Report For Week Ending June 23

MERRILL – The Merrill Fire Department responded to 46 calls during the week ending June 23. This brings the total for 2024 to 1051 calls. Three calls were for motor vehicle accidents resulting in an injury. There were 36 calls requesting EMS services, excluding the three accidents that resulted in injuries. TRIPOLI – On Monday June 24th, Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to Belle Rd in Tripoli regarding a report of an extremely intoxicated male who was causing a disturbance. The report of the incident came in from the suspects Mother and Stepfather, who had been allowing him to stay with them and were asking for help to get him into treatment. MERRILL – The Lincoln County Public Safety Committee held their monthly meeting on Wednesday June 12. One item of focus at the meeting was the Emergency Management Plan of Work. LINCOLN COUNTY – Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 54 traffic stops this past week. There were two crashes, one involving two vehicles that resulted in a 47-year-old Tomahawk man being placed under arrest for 3rd offense OWI, and the second involving a 65-year-old driver losing control of his vehicle and crashing into a guard rail.
