Merrill Senior High School Holds 2024 Commencement Exercises

On Friday night, the 141st Merril Senior High Commencement Exercises were held in the High School Fieldhouse.

The ceremony began with a recognition of class accomplishments and staff retirees by High School Principal Trisha Detert, followed by an address to the class from Erik Mann, a message from the Board of Education by board President Kevin Blake, a slideshow presentation, the Keynote Address by High School Social Studies Teacher Garrett Stine, and performances by the High School Choirs and Wind Ensemble. MAPS Superintendent Shannon Murray certified the Class of 2024 and presented diplomas to the 190 Merrill High School Graduates.

The ceremony closed with the moving of the tassels and singing of the school’s Alma Mater “Hail to the Blue”.
