Next Monday (May 27th) is Memorial Day, and the city of Merrill is once again prepared to give special honor to the many who gave their lives for our freedom. Grave flags were placed at both Merrill Memorial and St Francis cemeteries yesterday (Monday, May 20th), and weather permitting the big flags will be raised at both venues on Monday, (May 27th) at 6AM. Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted 52 traffic stops in the last week. One was for reckless driving, the driver was placed under arrest for 2nd offense OWI & cited for carrying open intoxicants. There was a report of disorderly conduct in Bradley resulting in an arrest that included an outstanding warrant, and two complaints of potentially impaired drivers who appeared to have open alcohol in their vehicles.
