Chequamgeon-Nicolet National Forest Reopens Trails Affected By Storm

Nearly 5 years after northern Wisconsin was hit with a severe weather event, the Chequamgeon-Nicolet National Forest has offically lifted a closure order that affected the southeastern portion of the Forest. A windstorm ripped down trees and left many others at risk of falling back in July of 2019, spreading debris across many roads, trails and recreation areas.
